Built in the 1950s on the slopes of Tofana di Mezzo, the refuge has long been a landmark for climbers, skiers, and hikers in Cortina’s Dolomites.
Its terrace is famed as one of the most breathtaking panoramic balconies in the Ampezzo valley, offering sweeping views over Lagazuoi, Cinque Torri, Cristallo, and the Marmolada in the distance—especially magical at sunset during the Enrosadira.
Inside, tradition lives on through authentic Ampezzo cuisine: hearty mountain soups, homemade pastas, canederli, and local specialties served with warmth and accompanied by fine wines, making every visit as much a culinary experience as a feast for the eyes.
